Foursquare Rum Distillery is located on a former sugar plantation dating back to approximately 1720s. The distillery was re-opened by the Seale family in 1996, who had been blenders and distillers on Barbados for many generations. Richard Seale, 4th Generation Distiller, Trader and blender for R.L. Seale & Co., created the Exceptional Cask series highlight the unique, and rare offerings that Foursquare Rum Distillery has created. These are truly his personal aging experiments and they are only released when he feels they are of exceptional quality. This 15th release is an interesting blend of two rums age for whole years in either ex-bourbon or madeira casks. The resulting rum is extremely rich and complex and will certainly be in the running for one of the most renowned Exceptional Cask series to date.
