Foursquare Detente Single Blended Rum takes its name from the French word "detente", that means a relaxation of strained relations, and this excellent rum is sure to smooth out any wrinkles between people. This spirit is a blend of blends: one aged in bourbon barrels for ten years, the other aged in bourbon barrels for four years then transferred to port casks for another six years. These spirits are distilled using both the traditional twin column Coffey still and the artisanal double-retort pot still. The palate of this rum is subtly sweet, with notes of dried fruit like raisin and blackcurrant, with undertones of stewed apple and dark cocoa.
