DesMadre Anejo tequila is their aged product spending 15 months in oak (a fair bit longer than the minimum 12 months for the anejo label) with a finish in sauternes wine casks... that latter finish is very unusual in the tequila world (though seen in the whiskey world on occasion) and will give the spirit a distinct flavor and cast. The brand was founded by Marcos Higareda in 2016.
