Overview: Dry Creek Valley is the preeminent source for Zinfandel in Sonoma County. It’s a 16-mile, narrow valley just inland from the California coast to which it runs parallel. Days are baking hot and protected from the cool winds off the Pacific Ocean which is relatively close. Nights are cool. Grapes are harvested from 100-year-old vines at the northern most end of the valley. The base of Lake Sonoma is the hottest part of the valley, perfect for beautifully ripened Zinfandel.
