The Marcile Lorraine is known for its amazing age ability, elegant length, and lovely notes of Raspberry. 30% Whole cluster fermentation. Wild yeast fermentation. Split into open top French oak fermenters spending 14-21 days, two punch downs a day. Aged in 20% New French Oak and balance in neutral French Oak barrels for 11 months. 96 Cases produced.Tasting Notes: This opens with sharp, edgy flavors melding raspberry and cherry fruit to darker, toasty streaks. They bring a wash of coffee grounds and smoke wood into the mix as the palate opens up and fills out with a further burst of blackcherry fruit backed with juicy citrus. The wine rolls into a finish with that charred wood note beautifully integrated and providing much pleasure rather than distracting from the core of ripe fruit.Pairing:Chicken, Duck, SalmonPoints:92, Wine EnthusiastFormat/ABV:750 ml/13.5%In certain circumstances, a specific vintage may not be available.
