Single-barrel Montanya Oro ages for more than one year or more in an American White Oak barrel fresh from Laws Whiskey House. The barrel contributes to a fuller-bodied, richer-colored rum with flavors of the oak and spice from the Laws Whiskey on the finish. A tiny touch of Colorado honey brings out the natural flavors of the rum and the barrel without adding a cloying sweetness like added sugar. Unlike many dark rums, the Oro never receives added sugar, molasses caramel, or artificial colorings or flavorings. Includes notes of red chili, coffee, caramel, vanilla, pineapple, and chocolate. Named USA Rum of the Year in Berlin and received 8 Silver medals and 1 Best In Class designation.
