Detail
Overview: The Temperance Hill Vineyard, planted in 2001, is located above Bethel Heights between 750-900 feet above sea level and is planted on volcanic jory soils, basalt mother rock with iron-rich soils to a southern exposure. Its high elevation and cool situation produce wines of exception, with outstanding aging potential. The wines see spontaneous yeast fermentation and 100% malolactic before aging in roughly 30% new French oak for six months.Tasting Notes: Dark garnet, bright and brilliant to the rim. Altogether more dense aromas of red fruit potpourri, floral incense, and earthy minerality. A powerful entry reveals tight, concentrated dark cherry and black fruits overlayed on a firm bed of refined tannins w/fresh, mouthwatering acidity that provides lift and length. Super aging potential.Pairing:Beet salad with goat cheese, salmon, barbeque pork ribsPoints: 95,James SucklingFormat / ABV:750 ml/13.6% In certain circumstances, a specific vintage may not be available.
