Overview:Our Appellation Series wines exemplify our commitment to exploration and passion for crafting soulful and thoughtprovoking wines that celebrate some of the world's great terroirs.A microclimate that began over 20 million years ago by tectonic plate movement is nothing short of a miracle. Mountains rose from the sea, rotating clockwise to break free from their plates, creating one of the most defined, transverse ranges on the Pacific Coast. This distinctive feature of the purely East/West maritime mouth funnels cool coastal fog and wind straight to the vines, proving this AVA to be a fascinating cool-climate growing region for Pinot Noir. The 2021 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir was harvested over three weeks during an ideal growing season. Brimming with vibrant notes of cranberry, strawberry, and cherry with subtle hints of citrus and understated tannins, this wine has a finesse that leads to an extended finish.Tasting Notes:Bright red fruit with delightful aromas of earth, pine, clove, and cinnamon stick. Soft on the palate with juicy cranberry, cherry, and strawberry fruit notes. Subtle citrus adds nuance to a smooth finish.Pairing:Seared salmon and tunaPoints: 95, Wine EnthusiastFormat/ABV: 750 ml/14.1%In certain circumstances, a specific vintage may not be available.
