Overview:100% Pinot Noir. Clones: Pommard, Wadenswil, Coury and Dijon. Sourced from a handful of vineyards in the Dundee Hills AVA. Vines 6 to 35 years of age. All vineyards dry farmed and sustainable. SOIL: Volcanic. VINIFICATION AND AGING: Fruit is 100% destemmed followed by native yeast fermentation. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally. Wine is aged for 19 months in 25% new oak barriques. No fining or filtration.Tasting Notes: One of a series of wines named for their soils, this shows a gravelly, grainy foundation, with sleek cranberry-raspberry fruit above. The herbal components are kept in check but are definitely in the mix, along with tannins that show flavors of stem and bark.
