While there is no age statement, the bourbon is finished for 6 months in Cabernet barrels from Napa. The Cabernet Sauvignon finish brings the best out of Daviess County bourbon but doesn’t overwhelm it. A complex dram, the nose brings aromas of honey, vanilla, caramel, and toasted spices while the palate is smooth with dried fruit, butterscotch, dark caramel, and oak. The finish is extremely long and pleasantly warm. A silky-smooth bourbon, it’s a splendid example of a well-done Cabernet Sauvignon finish.
