It is named after Lorna Belle Glos Wagner, co-founder of Caymus Vineyards and grandmother of owner-winemaker Joe Wagner. The label produces a small collection of Pinot Noir wines, sourced from different coastal-influenced locations. The three stalwarts are the Dairyman, sourced from a former dairy farm on the southern alluvial plains of the Russian River Valley, while south of San Francisco, Clark & TelePhone number in the Santa Maria Valley is planted on its own roots to the rare Martini clone. Finally, Las Alturas (as the name suggests) is one of the highest vineyards in the Santa Lucia Highlands of Monterey County. In the winery, grapes are vinified by seperate plots from the vineyard to allow for precision winemaking. Cold-soaking is frequently employed to ensure the Pinot Noir wines have a full-spectrum of color and hue with French oak barrels sourced for the aging process.
